We didn’t stay here, rather came here for lunch and a change of scenery. This place, really beautiful, stunning pools, lovely gardens, and it is right on the beach. This is most definitely a tourist hub, lots of foreign visitors and there are tour guides all around, and they have currency exchange at the front desk. There is a cute boutique store and a small market in the resort. The food here was okay, casual, not gourmet (although it was lunch, I don’t know what the dinner is like). We took a walk along the beach and were hassled quite a bit by vendors, so quickly came back to the resort. The staff were very friendly and the service was good.

This was our first visit to The Gambia, we were blown away by the friendly people,wildlife and weather. Our stay at Tamala was fabulous over Christmas. Victor and all his team really looked after us.The food was excellent,lots of choice and variety.We opted for a swim up sea facing room which was huge and the bed was amazing.I would prearrange a late check out next time however, as the transfer for the return flight was at 5.30 pm but we had to check out at 12 so a bit inconvenient trying to freshen up that said we would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and plan to return. |Helen & Paul
