This hotel is definitely one of the best hotels you can stay in when visiting Budapest. I have an incredibly great experience staying at Hotel Matild Palace. Upon arrival, the helpful staff took luggage directly to our room and parked the car for us exactly as it should look like in a 5* hotel. The hotel staff is incredibly nice and helpful, whatever you need, they will arrange it with pleasure. The interior of the hotel including reception are absolutely gorgeous, the hotel combines modern and historical elements that were visible especially in the hotel restaurant. Food is simply great at the highest culinary level, everything fresh and only quality ingredients. I do like the way the breakfast is arranged - in addition to the buffet tables you can order dishes from the menu that are prepared for you according to your requirements, as well as super fresh fruit juice or any type of coffee you wish, waiter brings straight to your table. The hotel has its own wellness, Swan Spa, the interior is so lovely and offers several saunas and relaxation room, It's an oasis of peace. Last but not least, the hotel has a rooftop bar with a panoramic view of the city where they prepare fancy drinks. The location of the hotel is another big advantage. Right next to the hotel you can find promenade, monuments, a lot of small shops and good restaurants. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel to everyone visiting Budapest, you will definitely NOT be disappointed. I personally would love to come back for another vacation.

Had a lovely time at the Matild Palace. The building is gorgeous and the location fantastic, walking distance to everything downtown. The room was very pretty, the bed very comfy and the bathroom rather luxurious. Though the high tech toilet didn't work... Breakfast was very nice with a small buffet and a la carte options to order. The buns for the eggs Benedict were burger buns, so a bit big, but it was delicious. Local style eggs and pancakes were well prepared. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved their rooftop bar, gorgeous design, fantastic cocktails and very friendly service. Would be amazing in the summer. Prices are on the higher end, comparable to the Ritz Carlton (that offers a pool)... I would stay again...
