Would really give it 4.5 stars but rounded up because the staff really tries their best. We found a deal for an all inclusive package and thought the resort was a great value! We are coming from NYC and are pretty accustomed to luxe resorts so keep in mind if you are looking for an experience like that to look elsewhere…this is not a 5 star resort by any means. However, the resort is on the smaller side and that combined with the staff really makes it feel home-y. The resort did lean more toward families and an older crowd, no big deal even though we are a young couple. Again, if you are looking for a wild pool party scene then this is not the place. The vibe was always pretty relaxed, chill, and quiet. Positives are the staff and the location (right on the beach and walking distance to many things). The food was good, not amazing, but for buffet style not bad. The drinks were great and the bar was quick! The spa and the masseuses were excellent! The massage was fantastic and cheap. Honestly one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time at half the NYC prices we are used to. The negatives are that the resort does need a refresh. Some fresh paint, new lighting and new tiling could really uplift the place. Regardless the grounds were well kept with nice greenery. The beach could use more beach chairs/newer ones. One time we used the tub and we had to stop because the floor below us complained of a leak. Gym could also use a huge renovation. Overall I recommend if you are looking for a more budget friendly trip to just unwind and relax in a quiet environment with good drinks, decent food, and friendly staff. Avoid if you are looking for a younger scene/party or a luxury experience (you’ll need more $$$ for Jade for that).
