We spent a glorious two nights at this magnificent hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River right next to Victoria Falls. The setting is what dreams are made of and it was absolutely magical passing zebra, giraffe and buck in the grounds of the hotel as we walked to and from our room.||Visiting the falls is an easy walk (or golf cart ride) from the hotel and access is free for guests.||The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are well trained and very friendly. The front office staff deserve a special mention for being so welcoming and efficient. They really make one feel special and welcome. ||We went to the Royal Livingstone for special birthday celebration and it was amazing! The staff made it so special with champagne, cake and a hand written note in our room for my birthday, plus beautiful flowers on the bed as decoration. ||Dinners on Kubu deck as the sun goes down are what dreams are made of! Loved it!||I would highly recommend the Royal Livingstone for a truly five star experience. ||The only slight criticism I would give is regarding our lady butler who made us feel pressured to tip her before she went off her shift, but she was an exception. The rest of the staff were amazing.

We came with our family of 10 and loved our whole experience at Royal Livingstone! I am not sure what we loved most: the zebras and giraffes wandering by the rooms and pool, the proximity to walk to the falls...also everything within a 5-15 minute drive for the excursions we booked, the very nice staff, the pure luxury of the rooms, the gorgeous and delicious complimentary breakfast buffet, the swimming pool, or the beautiful dinner on the dock at sunset. It was a spectacular three days! The only negative I would say is that we did book our airport pickup (which was not cheap) through the hotel and it was all a bit disorganized and the driver wasn't there. We had to call the hotel and ask where the van was. He finally came but we had been waiting 20 or so minutes. Then the hotel asked that we pay with cash for the airport pickup because the company did not take credit cards. We had to go to their sister hotel to find an ATM to pay with cash. I recognize it was not the hotel's fault, but maybe they need to find a company that does take credit cards.
