JAPAN

This year Easter takes place in April and it is an excellent time to visit Japan. Easter is not a national holiday and is not widely celebrated. However, in recent years, the holiday has become more popular, especially among young people. Many people in Japan celebrate Easter by eating Easter-themed chocolate, candy, and cakes. If you’re planning to celebrate Easter in Japan, try out Meiko Hiyoko it is in the shape of a chick, so it is the perfect sweet treat to eat over Easter!

It is hard to imagine Easter without bunnies, right? So why not visit Okunoshima Island? It is a small island located off the coast of Hiroshima- the home to a large population of feral rabbits who hop on the island freely. Moreover, the island offers a range of other attractions, including a museum that chronicles the island's history, a beach, and a number of hiking trails.

Japan’s big cities all contain gorgeous greenery – for example, Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, Ryoan-ji Temple park in Kyoto, or Mino Park in Osaka – and the rest of the country is even more of a paradise for lovers of the wild forests, stunning lakes, and hills. That’s why we recommend organizing an egg hunt with your travel buddies and enjoying Easter traditions in the oriental atmosphere.

PHILIPPINES

In the Philippines, Easter is an important holiday and is often celebrated with religious rituals and ceremonies. You should be surprised because Easter is an important holiday and is often celebrated with religious rituals and ceremonies in the Philippines. Many Filipino Catholics dedicate an entire week before Easter for celebration: go to church daily, avoid eating meat or fish, or take on an all-liquid diet for a whole week. In the Philippines, there is a tradition to reenact the torture Jesus Christ experienced. Some participants wear thorns' crowns, whip themselves, or even nail their hands and feet to a wooden cross. Finally, on Easter Sunday, they place flower petals around the Virgin Mary to celebrate the world's salvation.

Well, these kinds of traditions are not for everyone so if it’s not your cup of tea -  simply plan a beach vacation. April is a great time because it is at the end of the dry season before the rains arrive. There are so many wonderful overwater bungalows that many travelers choose the Philippines as an alternative to the Maldives for their dreamy getaways. Don’t worry, you won’t break the bank. On Easter Day, Korean Christians and Catholics go to church to pray and have a feast or enlighten other people about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Meanwhile nonreligious or non-Christians don't pay attention to this celebration. Some ex-pats may hold egg hunts for their own childer, and boil and decorate Easter eggs by themselves.  It is simply not as popular as Christmas.

Nevertheless, you should visit South Korea in April because it is one of the most beautiful times to be in this region. The weather becomes warmer and warmer, and you know what that means - it is the time when cherry blossoms bloom and mesmerize everyone all over the world. With the beginning of spring, more and more festivals are taking place in South Korea: Samcheok Maengbang Canola Flower Festival, Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival, Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Marathon, and Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival. The last one is really famous. It is held on Yeouiseo-ro Road in Seoul in mid-April once the royal azaleas, forsythia, and other flowers are in full bloom. Everyone can enjoy the scenery because there is no entry fee. Naturally, during this festival other activities take place such as street performances, singing contests, and more. Instead of decorating eggs and having a traditional Easter, book flights and visit South Korea during the most beautiful season!
