After staying in a few off-the-beaten-path smaller places in Chile, it was nice to have a bit of comfort/ pampering. I loved the bar/restaurant. Great hotel with very helpful staff, amazing breakfast. I got a room with a view of the lake- worth it. It's not the most central location, but I had a car so it did not matter.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Cumbres Puerto Varas this past March, and had a great stay! As a frequent guest of the Cumbres Lastarria in Santiago, I was pleased that this location offers the same quality and service I’ve come to expect from Cumbres hotels. My suite was very nice and spacious, with incredible views of the lake, offering gorgeous sunrises each morning. The location is excellent, offering easy access down to the heart of town (with various shopping opportunities), while there are a number of good restaurants down the hill the opposite direction as well. (Just note the hilltop location offering beautiful views also entails an uphill climb back). The staff helped arrange airport transfers, and the hotel amenities were very nice all around. (My only complaint would be the uncomfortable furniture…not including the bed. The sofa was rock hard, and you could feel the springs in the seat of the desk chair.) ||||In conclusion, I highly recommend the Cumbres Hotel for all those considering a trip to beautiful Puerto Varas!
