Such a lovely place! The room was clean and well-equipped. They put a lot of thought into even the smallest details. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from, you’ll definitely find something you like. Just a few minutes away, there are metro stops and a supermarket. If we ever come back to Athens, we’d love to stay in this place again!

Firstly, I must say, that my wife has visited Athens maybe 30 times, and I have visited 2 times, so we know the city fairly well. Her uncle is Greek and has shown us most of the great things to see. I love Athens! I prepaid for 5 nights here, before we returned to the USA. Our first night here was a total disaster. We paid $40 euro per night extra for a baby bed, which was dirty with some other child’s hair. We had to ask them to give us fresh sheets for it. Also our air conditioning never started working so it was hotter in our room than outside in August heat. Wifi didn’t work and therefore the television did not work. We were prepared to cancel and relocate the first morning there because I knew they were fully booked. We complained to the front desk and were quite prepared to leave. We could not believe that the owner was called to speak to us. She drove from home, came inside, sat me down at their patio and we had a lengthy discussion about all kinds of things and she relieved us that they would put us up in another room. They gave us the best room in the hotel!!! We could not believe how much nicer it was. AC worked great, the wifi worked great and tv worked too! The bed was huge (like really huge) and the kitchen was a nice touch. If you have more than 2 people in your party, I suggest booking the better/more expensive room, for total comfort. We stayed here because my parents stayed here a few weeks prior to us, and highly recommended it. The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful, charming, friendly and so very nice to us (and the baby). They genuinely cared for us and helped us with anything we needed. Any complaint or suggestion they would tackle immediately. Katerina was so lovely and so sweet and so was all the other ladies working there. I can’t believe the warm hospitality here, I would return just because of them! The owner knows what she’s doing, and explained her vision to me, and even suggested places to visit we hadn’t seen (we’ve been to Athens many times so she made some great suggestions for places we haven’t visited). The lobby closes at 10 PM but you can still go outside if needed. The neighborhood is a bit run down, like much of Athens. It’s in the Asian/Chinese/Pakistani area of town, with many migrants living next door and surrounding areas. We found some excellent restaurants nearby because of this. Chinese food at Bao Bao was so very good! And the front desk ladies recommended Seychelles, and my wife liked it so much, we went 2 nights in a row. We also found Mironi across from the Wyndham Grand, and it was maybe one of the best meals in Greece we’ve ever had (and we’ve had many, all over). Everything is in walking distance, we walked down to Monastiraki every evening when it wasn’t so hot (a 15 minute walk). The shade the buildings give was excellent for walking. The downside is that sidewalks are dangerously beaten up and non existent in some places. If you are handicap or push a baby stroller, I do not recommend this neighborhood the hotel is in, think twice! We pushed the stroller just fine but there are some places where you must walk in the road, normal Greek style. The breakfast buffet was such a blessing and so very good! Every morning we woke up to ensure we made it to breakfast. The yogurt, honey and fruit was fantastic, my favorite! The bacon and eggs was very American and I was happy to find it after two months in the Greek countryside eating breakfast at home. The coffee and juice, all self serve, was so very good. We talked to other hotel patrons who were all very nice and full of stories from travel. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family and I would personally thank them for doing such a great job and putting us up in a better room. I can’t say enough great things about them. Pros: great rates, wonderful staff/front desk (Katerina!), breakfast buffet, lovely owner (daughter?), and excellent rooms with excellent soap! Daily house keeping. Cons: tiny elevator, abandoned neighborhood surrounding, sidewalks broken, lobby closed at 10PM
