Let’s start with the good first. Some pluses is the location is good for the hotel. The service staff in general are friendly and attentive no complaints there. The public spaces are also of good quality. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were of good quality. I also appreciated the size of my suite. It was good in this respect as well. ||Now unfortunately, let us address the not so good. The building itself doesn’t appear to have very good sound proofing to the outside. I could hear the traffic from the streets easily despite being on the 7th floor. And while I did have a good view of the Acropolis from my suite all the windows were dirty which took away from the beauty of the view. Speaking of the view the other negative is related to the window coverings. The curtains had broken stays and tabs in the track which was a surprising oversight for a five star hotel. Also, the furniture had many stains in the chairs and the sofa. I am not certain if professional cleaning could resolve the stains but if not again for a five star hotel the furnishing should be reupholstered or replaced if they are unable to be cleaned satisfactorily. ||In summation I would give this hotel another shot in the future. They have a lot of things right. They just need to iron out some of the details to really elevate the property to the correct level.

Though this is a lovely hotel inside lobby etc - it is missing the attention to details piece that would make it a five star hotel.. Location - yes it's easy to get to some of the main attractions but if you are on your own, walking around late at night, have young kids and don't stay on the main roads it is not safe. You will come across junkies - shooting heroine and not just a couple a lot of them.. There are seedy places with open door policies up and down the the inside streets. Breakfast buffet- is fine. It's not lavish, doesn't have amazing produce or many hot options for vegans and vegetarians. Unless you want beans and potatoes everyday. They don't cover the bread rolls, cakes, muffins etc and there are a lot of flies being drawn to the food. The juices are carton drinks not fresh. There is no option to request to have something made fresh which most 5 stars would offer. You aren't shown to a free table and have to walk around a secure one yourself. The staff are always friendly though and views are amazing. We found that it was better to go at 9ish when it was a less busy. Room- decent size, cleanliness could be better. There was dust on the headboard, the counter top around the sink didn't get cleaned properly. The drain cover in the shower was broken, the rainfall shower head would randomly start leaking - like it had been turned on. The toilet roll was not replenished, you only get two free coffee pods after that you have to pay, and you only get a complimentary bottle of water on the first night. We were given one tea cup - and tea bags were not replaced. The fridge was in the wardrobe. The air con didn't work..Gowns and slippers are not 5-star standards. It's loud - if your room is facing the main road it's really loud and if you open the window it's impossible to sleep because of the noise. Two nights before we left the plug sockets near the TV stopped working, the phone stopped working completely, and we could smell burning. This is the only time I went downstairs to complain as we needed some toilet roll... toilet roll was provided and the phone was replaced. No one came to investigate the smell ( we gave up after waiting for ages) and no one followed up the next day either. The person I complained to even saw us on the last day didn't even acknowledge us. Though not a bad hotel it is not a five-star hotel - please don't expect five-star standards or service.
