If you are looking for luxury- this is not the place; don’t expect your regular WA experience here. + Location is great (for old city and Mamila) Very nice pool and spa Rooms are good and very nice bathrooms - Service is bad with no quality control. only good service was from the bell boys. no one makes you feel welcomed when you come in, reception area is a mess. One time we went to the pool there were 10 kids jumping in and out for over 30 min with the life guard right there looking at them while he’s on the phone and vaping. This is a luxury hotel with a very tranquil pool , that’s says no jumping and it was extremely annoying . the kids then went and left trash all over the sauna while overflowing it from the interior faucet . Food at morning buffet is embarrassing (other than the bread) and on the level you have in a holiday inn breakfast (which is fine if that’s what you are paying for). I understand the place caters to a lot of religious folks but this is supposed to be a luxury experience. breakfast reminded me of my time at the IDF would not come back
I’m a diamond for life member and at checking received no sort of upgrade option. Welcome card in room had someone else name on it. Hallways and room appearance was worn and dingy. Service at breakfast was hit or miss. Food options were delicious and if you were able to get a cup of coffee that was great too. The key is to find the more experienced team members and make sure they know your needs. However, never once felt welcomed anywhere in hotel. Tried ordering room service one night and no one picked up phone. Asked front desk for help with still no response. Ate in hotel restaurant for dinner and not only extremely overpriced but also Gnocchi was so over cooked it felt like soup. Found broken glass on marble bathroom floor after day two. Was originally suppose to stay 6 nights - left after four because we felt unwelcome, uncared for and uncomfortable. While the location is great, it seems they only cater to a very select few locals and have not maintained rooms - for the amount per night we did not feel like we received value at all. Wi-Fi did work well. Security at front loiter in front of door creating traffic jams. While I love my hiltons and this location was perfect for Jerusalem exploration- I would recommend you consider other options if you’re there for more than 2-3 nights.
