This was our second stop for our honeymoon in Iceland. This was hands down the most unforgettable hotel experience of our lives. The rooms and main lounge/restaurant are cozy and impeccably furnished. Beyond that, the staff is 10/10 and are the most hospitable and friendly we have ever experienced. The meals were incredible and the chef was extremely knowledgeable. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the dinners were a wonderful surprise each evening. The wait staff really made our stay at Torfhús unforgettable. They had concluded our first meal with a thoughtful toast for our honeymoon and made every encounter very special. The dinner wine pairings were perfect and the Torfhús staff made it really a wonderful experience. My wife cannot drink wine due to allergy - the staff were accommodating in other drink options and even were thoughtful enough to give her a tasting of local soft drinks. They not only made our visit memorable, but also an absolute blast. Our experience was a testament to their impeccable service and we would say it is a must for anyone visiting the area.
