Hotel Le Tre Vaselle

Le Tre Vaselle is in the most beautiful little village of Torgiano. I was traveling with friends and we were going to attend the Infiorata Festival in Spello but did not want to stay in the middle of the madness of the festival in Spello, so chose to stay close (Only 15 minutes away). Imagine our surprise on the morning of the Feast of Corpus Christi when we walked out of our hotel and found the streets of Torgiano covered with beautiful floral carpets that were being completed by the proud residents of this lovely little town. We walked the streets looking at all the beautiful floral creations and then enjoyed the recitation of the rosary which took place as the adoration of the host processed through the streets. Later we went to Spello which was grander, but we all much more enjoyed our experience in Torgiano as it was much calmer and the sense of community made it feel much more like what we thought the celebration of Corpus Christi should be!||||Our 4 day stay at Tre Vaselle was wonderful. The rooms were extremely comfortable as were the beds!! (Not like the typical rock like mattresses you typically find in most Italian hotels!) The bathrooms were large and beautifully appointed. ||||The hotel staff were most accommodating from my first contact by phone through our departure..... They arranged a private wine tasting and tour at the beautiful Longarotti Vineyards and a private olive oil tasting at the Marfuga olive oil groves and manufacturers which were most informative and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed both tours.||||Breakfast was wonderful and included waffles and pancakes and eggs cooked to order and the best cappuccino that was also prepared to order by the charming attendant who took care of our every need at breakfast. ||||I can strongly recommend this lovely resort to anyone who wants to have a true Italian experience and who wants to stay in an accomodation that is the definition of hospitality. Margaret, the general manager is lovely and welcomes her guests warmly. It is evident that her staff is a reflection of her philosophy of the hospitality experience.
