Our experience didn’t start that smoothly, we arrived late at the hotel after a stressful journey, wanted to get some food and head to bed. The room service wait time was 1.5 hours, the main restaurant pretty much just served red meat, they couldn’t fit us in the bar and couldn’t serve the bar menu in the adjoining restaurant. Eventually they did move us nearer to the bar and served us bar food there, which was really appreciated.|Location wise it’s easy to find, a short walk from Mapo station exit 4.|The hotel itself is really nice, had all the amenities you’d want, nicely decorated and extremely clean. |Breakfast was a bit chaotic, just so many people so coffee service was quite slow.|I do want to say a massive thank you to Vincent in the concierge team, I left my phone in a taxi and the next day he helped us track it down and get us a taxi to pick it up. I have no idea how he managed it with the very little information we could provide him, but he helped us so much and I’m extremely grateful!
- Views: 5 stars|- Rooms: 4-5 stars (depending on river view).|- Service: 2-5 stars based on area of responsibility. For example, front desk employees are professional, but other employees clearly dislike their jobs. All employees should be pleasant regardless of role at true 5 star properties.|- Food Service: 3 stars (breakfast food feels re-heated and not fresh).|- Pool: 4 stars; 5 star views; 3 star usability (ridiculously shallow).|- Sauna/Gym: 3 stars; no actual “sauna” or steam room. The jacuzzis are inside the shower rooms and not out by the pool. The old Koreans use the jacuzzi as a ‘bidet’ and hover nude over the only part of the jacuzzi that shoots bubbles (in the middle instead of the back rest)—pretty disgusting. Swimsuits should be mandatory in the jacuzzi until they change the design.|****Overall nice hotel with plenty of room for improvement.|
