Nice place to stay. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Due to recent unrest they completely stopped visitors from entering the hotel, so if u want to catch up with people not staying in the hotel, will need to make alternative arrangements. But for this, the stay was great.

I have been coming here since 2006 just after it opened and back then it was the best hotel in Atyrau. Since then they have not changed anything (fixtures and fittings included 😄) but they honestly have always kept up the best customer service you will find in this region. I did have the pleasure of staying in the renaissance in Samara just over the border in Russia and the staff were very helpful but they had to deal with dirty water and electricity going off. They had a nice hotel and tried to help but it there was more minuses than plusses. The Renaissance in Atyrau has not changed a bit since I have been coming here but the water is always clean and the staff are always most helpful and while a bit dated now the rooms are always clean and reassuringly the same. If you ever find yourself staying in Atyrau and it's your first time know that the Renaissance Atyrau is the best place to stay!
