If you’re coming to Laos for business, or a quick layover, the location is convenient. Otherwise, if you’re looking to explore the sleepy capital, you’re a 30+ minute walk from everything. The staff was very kind, but the hotel itself has a sterile feeling; like it was built with corporate business folk in mind. The Eastin, primarily the rooms, lack any character. In order to run the AC, you need to leave your key card in the room, so if you go out all day, when you get back it’s a nice balmy 80+ degrees in there. For its cost, it’s a perfectly fine hotel. But if you’re looking for cute, or boutique-like, this is not your place.
