We were enveloped in comfort and tranquility during our entire stay at this ideally situated accommodation. Nestled in a prime location near public transport and shops, yet somehow managing to feel private and peaceful, this place allowed us to deeply relax. The helpful staff enhanced the experience, responding to requests swiftly while maintaining a respectful distance. We always felt well-cared for without ever feeling smothered. Both the physical premises and accompanying security measures provided a sense of safety much appreciated when traveling. We could fully unwind knowing our belongings were protected.

What a horrible experience I had in this Holiday Inn, it was a totally disappointed and frightened stay. ||||I always say this, employees are the fuel of a company, they are the ones who can keep a company up or down, their attitude and the passion for what they’re doing makes a big difference in the progress of a brand. ||||In this case, the employees I had contact with are a shame for IHG, their poor performance is a result of lack of training and lack of interest and passion for their job, it seems they hate what they are doing and, I think, all that frustration they have are taken on the guests. ||||Even, before my arrival; I called the hotel to ask questions about my reservation but, whoever picked up the phone didn’t identify himself and, when I asked for his name, he just limited to say “ For security reason I cannot tell you my name “..I was mute..I didn’t understand why he said that when normally employees identified themselves after mention hotel's name, it’s a formal phone etiquette in every hotel.||||I arrived late night (around 1:00am). It’s a very reception area with only one agent on duty. After check in went up to the room and dropped all my bag. After using the bathroom, I grabbed one face towel, but I didn’t check it at glance and, after wiping my face I noticed the face towel was very dirty, I mean DIRTY, it seems they never replaced them after last guest, checked the rest of the towels and they were dirty as well. I took them to the reception and showed it to the agent, he just looked at me and said “I’ll send new ones tomorrow”..Ok..Thanks ..No sorry nor apologies, he didn’t show any concern or interest..Next day I was lucky to ran into the room attendant ( Ms. Margarita ) ,explained the situation, she was very concerned, she apologized and brought me clean towels, she even took the time to check them before handle to me.||||The room was big and with a decent view despite of the floor (4th floor). The bed was comfy. Bathroom decent size with shower (not bathtub). There were some issues in the room that should be revised by the management. The water pressure in the sink was very poor. Coffee maker lid was broken. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom was loose, almost fell due some screws were not tightened. ||||It seems employee don’t care or feel obligated to do their job. Got issues at the restaurant with Ms. American and Mr. Ivan who were extremely rude and condescending.||The few times I went to the restaurant I always give out my room number as asked it. . ||||For me everything was well, until I the day I had issues with these two employees.|| On Friday I was having breakfast and, I made a comment to America about the coffee they were serving, it was very clear, more water than coffee; I believe she didn’t like what I said to her, she returned with the coffee, but the coffee mug had lipstick stained on it, it seems she took a sip before handling it to me. I gave it back to her and I told her “You guys are disappointing me every day”. She just laughed at me. I said, “This is not for laugh, I’m being serious” and she walked away from me with that unprofessional attitude, like making fun of me. I don’t know if this sparked the drama, and if it’s so, she shouldn’t take it personal. ||||After this, she sent Ivan to my table to ask me again for my room number, I was confused because I gave it to her before..TWO TIMES.. I’ve got fed up with their attitude and I, very respectfully, confronted her asking if there were a problem with my room number. She acted victimized. Ivan got in the middle of our conversation and falsely accused me of being disrespect with America. I was in shock because I wasn’t rising my voice or using slurs or anything verbally or physically offending. ||||Because of this they even had the nerve to threaten me with security just because I asked if there was a problem with my room, during my permanence in the restaurant, she asked me TWO times for my room number, even though I gave it to her on my way in, not enough, she sent Ivan to interrupt my breakfast and to harass me asking me for my room number again.||||I sent an email to General Manager Ms. Ileana Zurita about this incident, who never replied to me, she just limited to send me a generic card saying “I’m sorry “.||||Another issue I had it was with my bill. My flight was at 1:15am on Sun Dec 17th but my reservation was until Sat Dec 16th. I needed a late check out. Spoke with Mr. Pablo Ortega and he offered me rate of $140 (taxes included) to keep room until 8pm ( at the end they charged me more) . On my check out day I approached the reception and spoke with Alan (by the way, very unprofessional and lack of comprehension and training) to settle my account before I leave. He said my departure day was schedule for Sun Dec 17th . I was a little confused because according with Mr. Pablo I only had a late check out on Saturday Dec 16th but, then I understood, what Mr. Pablo did was to change my departure date for Dec 17th , so this way, I can check out on Saturday late, which it’s make sense to me because leaving after 6pm on your departure date it’s consider an extra night but, Alan didn’t understand it that way, he wanted to charge me more if I leave room after 8pm even those my reservation was due check out on Sunday De 17th, what he was saying it didn’t make sense, it was crazy what he wanted to do. He got very defensive. His irrationality didn’t let him think his lack of common sense didn’t let him to understand a simple change in my restation, it was ridiculous, then, out of blue he asked me very defiant “ Ok..you want to check out tomorrow”?..???...How are you going to asked me that when my reservation is already changed until tomorrow. His excuse was that rate was higher for Saturday and, I told him that it was the rate Mr. Pablo gave it to me. He still didn’t process the information and I kept explaining to him, making him understand this simple change. At this point I was getting frustrated asked for a bill, I asked for a copy of the bill, and he took so long to print it out.||||Due all these issues, I believe I will stop using Holiday Inn as part of my trips. Not only this hotel I had issues with, also, a Holiday Inn in Zona Rosa and Puebla in the past. My Platinum Elite Membership doesn’t work in these properties and, it’s a shame because you work hard and spend money to achieve that “status”.
