Just returned home from a 5-night stay at the Hyatt Zilara...highly recommend it! If you're looking for an adult-only resort, not huge but just right with the guest/resort ratio, where food/drinks are included and each night provides some enjoyable entertainment and great food, this is your place! Ana Reyes, Rooms Controller, was amazing! She contacted us prior to our arrival with room upgrade options which we solidified upon arrival. She is the sweetest person who goes above and beyond (seriously) to care for those she comes in contact with. The whole staff made sure guests were satisfied and spoiled. Great resort!!❤️

This was a great resort vacation to end the semester and year. It has a very laid-back and relaxed vibe and I love it. I could see this being a great spot for a solo trip or couples vacation for those who want a more relaxed vibe - like older adults. This isn’t a place for 20-something’s who want a more active resort. It’s pretty dead once the sun goes down. BUT, that’s what I was looking for, so it was a win for me! |There is one very large pool where you could be on one side and not even see the people in the other side. Unfortunately, the pool was not heated so we did not get in - it was a little overcast and rainy our first few days so the water was very cold. We did enjoy the one jacuzzi that was large enough to fit about 10 people without feeling too close for comfort. |The best thing about this resort is the food. Daily, we had breakfast at the buffet which had plenty of options. I loved the Mexican coffee and the fact that they had plenty of non-dairy milk options. I also love the omelette station, French toast, and fresh fruit offerings. I loved their fresh green juice, too! The coffee shop was awesome - the desserts were so good - including the ice cream. Plus it stays open until 11pm so I liked going every night to get some tea and a snack. |Room service had great options and my kids loved the burger and BLT. I tasted it one day and had to order my own because it was so good. The Asian restaurant was so good. I don’t like sushi but had the chicken fried rice that was AMAZING! Literally, the best I’ve ever had. It is not open every night - it seemed to alternate with the Italian restaurant which was also very good. The service here was awesome. The pasta, lasagna, and chicken parmesan was so good. The appetizers there were so good and filling that we had a hard time even finishing our main course. There are two restaurants outside that are both are so good. We liked the burger and nachos at the beach restaurant and I loved the quesabirria tacos! Yummy! |Overall, the staff were so nice and kind. Some were more attentive than others but I thoroughly enjoyed them and felt like they were kind. There was one guy - I hate that I cannot remember his name, but he told us to call him Papi Chulo. He was so nice, remembered our names, and seemed to check on us no matter where we were. Also, Millie! MILLIE felt like she was a friend or family member. I took her stretching class which was like Yoga and luckily for me, I was the only one that showed. She gave me her “VIP” class complete with a light massage. It was truly the best experience of the trip. Not only that, I told her that one of my daughters needed some help finding feminine products that weren’t in the gift store (because they did have some helpful products there) and she had a friend go to the store for us! Now that was going above and beyond!|Others at the resort were so helpful and kind. I would definitely go back for the staff and food alone.|The beach was swimmable, quiet and clean. There were plenty of lounge chairs at the beach and the pool. The servers were also attentive at the beach and around the pool. I cannot tell you how many great naps I took on that beach. Also, the last thing I’ll say is that we took family photos with their on-site photographer. Mauricio was amazing! I emailed them ahead of our trip and he just asked that we reserve a time 24 hours in advance. The photos ended up so beautiful. The upfront pricing was perfect and he did an amazing job.
