The staff are very friendly and nice. View and environment is superb, very relaxing. No plastic policy is encouraging. Good effort from MERC in protecting Marine life and very informative briefing.

Snorkelling, paddle boarding, and kayaking around the resort was incredible. At first, we were mildly disappointed (with humanity, not necessarily the resort) because most corals seemed unfortunately dead, but the more we explored, especially during high tide, the more stuff we saw - clownfish (Nemo), Dory fish (Dory), parrot fish, giant parrot fish, giant clams, squids, stingrays, urchins, damsel fish, catfish, and many more we cannot name. We were also very fortunate to see monitor lizards, lots of hornbills, and macaques. The resort has the Marine Ecology Center within it that is trying to boost the growth of corals as well as the local giant clam population, which is fantastic to see. Kayaking in the mangroves during high tide was also excellent. A lot of the food was delicious. And we barely used the infinity pool because we spent most of our time in the sea, but that was nice too. The staff are all very kind! Unfortunately, there was some trash in the water near the villas that clearly came from the resort :(
