This is the first five star hotel I have stayed in and it did not disappoint! The grounds are modeled after an Andean village and are just beautiful. They really have created a nature reserve on the edge of Aguas Calientes. My husband saw over 15 new species of birds just walking around the hotel grounds and we were only there one night. The room felt like a romantic cottage and they offered robes and sandals for your stay. We utilized the hot pools which had a beautiful view of the lush green environment. The staff were very kind and welcoming and the food was SO DELICIOUS! It really felt like a magical experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in casita 16 — close to the lodge to enjoy breakfast and dinner, and the sitting area in the lobby with a beautiful fireplace for a bit of reading after dinner. We also really enjoyed the spa services (foot therapy was excellent and particularly necessary after Huayna Picchu hike) and hot tub, as well as the locally-grown organic iced tea service in the reception area and lobby. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on property. Food was delicious — great use of local ingredients and flavors — and our server Jorge was incredibly kind and attentive. Highly recommend exploring the grounds through one of the eco tours offered. We did the orchid tour, and Wilfredo was an incredibly knowledgeable guide.
