A older hotel recently remodeled, L'Auberge was a unique experience away from home. The staff are very friendly and interactive and I had no problems with their people. When I had a request they would do their best to assist. The property itself is nice + clean, though many things came unexpected that made the trip a bit inconvenient. The highlight was the location - as it was across the street from many different options for dining. Highly recommend the ice cream shop across the street! While I enjoyed my experience with the valet, I prefer self-parking options and at $60 per night it is quite expensive to have brought a vehicle. Having bikes available, beach chairs and other amenities were nice - though I didn't end up using any of them so I paid a resort fee for essentially not much usage. I was advised that I wasn't allowed to take the soaps or shampoos from the hotel room or i'd be billed $20 each. The location is beautiful, and a vibe that makes you feel like you're at a resort. Especially from the restaurant. The staff were very kind and helpful with recommendations. The restaurant at Adelaide is good if you love seafood, but asking if I want bread for the table and not mentioning there's a charge associated with it is unacceptable. I liked the breakfast options, and I liked how they brought out an entire pot brewed for me when I asked for coffee. Overall satisfied, and would give a 3.75 / 5 for my experience from a value perspective.
