This place has gone downhill, dramatically! We spent almost $4,000 for 6 nights to sleep in a bug filled room…..SERIOUSLY? Usually I don’t do reviews but I was so disgusted even though I left the place 2 weeks ago, it is still fresh in my mind. This is the 2nd time my family and I have stayed at SpringHill Suites Marriott in Moab, UT. For reference, we stayed in a King and Bunkbed Suite both times. The 1st time (October 2021) was great. The place was very clean. I can’t say the same for the 2nd time (September 30 – October 6, 2023), total of 6 nights costing more than $600 per night. ||We did early check in 24 hours prior to arriving. We arrive at approximately 2 pm and were able to check in early. Perfect!||As we open the door to our Room (#120), we noticed not everything was cleaned. The dining table was sticky, the steps up the bunk bed was gross, there was a pink ring around the tub drain, but we just dealt with it and tried to clean it ourselves, as best as possible. We were just excited to get the room early. ||But then things started to go downhill fast. My son washed his hands and the sink suddenly clogged up. Tiny black pieces of gunk, mold, whatever, started coming up. The water was filling the sink faster than it was leaving. If the hotel staff actually cleaned the sink they should have noticed the sink was not working properly. We went to the front desk to let them know. A gentleman came and was able to use a stick to push and pull all the disgusting gunk out. This was fine, we understand. Things happen, it’s a hotel, the issue was dealt with in a timely manner.||Now comes the worst part. When I sat down on the sofa, I felt an ant on my arm. We started noticing ants on the sofa and carpet in the living room. As we followed the trail, they were literally everywhere. We even had to get sheets to cover the sofa. The purpose of getting the bigger suite was for more space, but we couldn’t even use it. They were crawling everywhere.||They even climbed on the sheets. We asked the front desk if they had some kind of “raid” spray to spray small areas. But they wanted to come in and spray the whole room. We declined as we have 2 kids and did not want them to sniff all the chemicals.||We ended up trying to clean all the ant on a daily basis and sprayed Lysol in the bathroom to kill the ants in there. Every single day we had to ask for new towels because the ants were crawling all over them. ||We also had spiders on the couch and near the windows in the living area. In the photos I posted, you can see the ants eating the bugs. I think one of them might have been a cockroach. Then there was another pile of ants eating away at some other bug.||We had to set all of our suitcases high on the counters and the dining table in hopes the ants and bugs don’t get into them.||These are only a small fraction of pictures we could have taken. As we were finding the bugs, we were just trying to wipe them up with wet wipes as fast as possible. For the amounts of ants and bugs, I don’t think the carpet was even vacuumed prior to us arriving. For more than $600 per night, this is not acceptable.||The gym was also not clean. There were no more sanitizing wipes to wipe any of the machines during the entirety of our stay. There also wasn’t a water filter to refill our own water bottles nor was there any complimentary water bottles in the gym like some other hotels.||Most of the staff workers were very nice to us. If we needed towels, sheets, toilet paper, etc, they were happy to give it to us. One thing the front desk was cheap about was water. This was a 6 day stay so we bought 4 cases of bottled water at City Market for our hikes. We didn’t feel comfortable drinking any of the sink water after the whole gross moldy clogged sink incident. On one of the days, we ran out of bottled waters so I went to the front and grabbed a bunch of “complimentary water bottles” to fill our hiking water bladders. There was no way I was going to fill our kids’ water bladders with the kitchen faucet after seeing all the bugs in the room and the gunk from the bathroom sink. The front desk receptionist did not like that at all. We paid almost $600 a night and they got mad that I took maybe $5 worth of complimentary water bottles because their sink was gross. ||One thing my kids did enjoy in the hotel was the 4:00 PM cookies at the front desk. They gave out individually wrapped cookies which my kids were excited about everyday.||We travel a lot every year and for this stay, we paid almost $4,000 for a VERY bad memorable experience. I say memorable because neither my wife nor I can forget this gross bug experience. This is NOT the Marriott quality we have come to expect and enjoy.|

I am not someone to give hotel reviews, but this hotel deserves it. What a gem with amazing staff! We are a family with 2 little kids and stayed in a King Suite with a full/twin bunk bed for 4 days and 3 nights. The kids were SOOO excited to see their room and loved going to bed every night. There was a spacious closet for luggage and an amazing kitchen and living room. All were updated and flow was great and space. I do wish that there was ad door separating the rooms, but otherwise, no other suggestions. We didn't hear a peep from our neighbors at any time. I think every room in this hotel has a view of the Arches National Park. Folks haver said breakfast was okay and I do agree, but I also believe that there is limited supply in this rural area. The pool is resort quality and surprisingly not busy with 4 hot tubs and 2 large pools that ranged from walk in to 5ft to fit everyone's needs. There is even a splash pad! There is room service that can be brought to any location with a simple scan on your phone. Amazing lawn games, fire pits and a patio to enjoy food or breakfast. In all honesty, the decor and style aligns with the community and the location cannot be beat as its quiet and downtown is a quick drive away. I've stayed in dozens of hotels and this once takes the cake, totally exceeded every expectations, especially for the price. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here now!
