As title, I stayed two night at this hotel which is 4 star hotels, we two girls met a black guy who knocked loudly saying “house keeping” at 8am earlier morning. And he just ran into our room using the room key which made us felt so terrible and ridiculous! How could this happened in a big international city 4 star hotel? I never suffered this dangerous situation while I traveled and had businesses trip a lot and stayed so many hotels. This is definitely about the hotel guest safety issue. I believe it must happened quite often for the hotel to feel nothing big at all and did nothing. This hotel safety has seriously problem that someone from their hotel could use their hotel room key and try steal guests property. And the hotel never try to fix this big issue while the staying safety is a basic must have for a hotel! We felt dissatisfied and disappointed is: their front counter did nothing for us and only said they will investigate? But no further update and hotel refused to offer us mental compensation. Please do not stay this hotel if you want to suffer the same horrible experience! Let’s refuse to stay the bad hotel like this one !

We've stayed at Club Quarters a few times over the past few years, and their quality has slipped somewhat. Pre-COVID they were an affordable, self-service hotel near Grand Central station, and if you were willing to go fishing in supply cabinets for your necessaries it wasn't all bad. Post-COVID is a different story- the complimentary snacks are gone, the self-service cabinets are shut, and you're left relying on hotel staff to meet your needs... which wouldn't be an issue except the severe lack of motivation and attention most of the staff seems to have. Attempts to contact the front desk were met with hangups or voice mail, the time between 'putting a request in' and the request being fulfilled was measured in days sometimes, and overall dealing with staff is unpleasant. They seem to be caught between wanting to be a self-service hotel where the staff is concerned without any of the ability to self serve. The rooms themselves are clean, though as others point out they're small and the connected bathroom is closed off by only a sliding door with very little privacy- not an issue if you're traveling alone or with close family, but something to keep in mind. The amenities listed for the rooms are inaccurate- there was no smart TV, and some aspects of the room were clearly not cleaned- the remote control for the TV was caked in something unidentifiable. The location is great- only a block down from the MetLife building and Grand Central, with a good amount of restaurants and stores nearby. For the price they're charging, though, there are likely nicer hotels nearby with better service.
