I’ve been a Diamond member for years. I’ve stayed at the hotel before - there were elevator issues then, but I chose it believe it was an acute issue. It is not. If you stay here stay on a level at which you feel comfortable taking the stairs. While the elevator issues are not necessarily the staff’s fault, they certainly don’t help make up for the shortcoming. We asked to have our room cleaned everyday upon check in. After 3 days, we asked again, then we asked a second time in the late afternoon that day because it still hadn’t been done. We had to find our own towels and toilet paper in the hall and serve ourselves. We had no hot water on the first day. When we let the staff know, they replied that it wasn’t their problem. They said they were going to send a service person up but they never arrived. When we told them they hadn’t come up, we were told we probably missed them - we hadn’t left the room by that point. The GFI switch in the bathroom kept tripping. Not great when you’re in the cold shower and it shuts off all the lights. Anyway, I won’t stay here again - neither should you. I’ll consider Marriott properties going forward. There is a Courtyard right beside this hotel. To the person who will ultimately reply to this post - focus on serving the folks in the hotel as quickly as you reply to these posts! Replying to this doesn’t make a lick of difference.

This was our second time staying at this property. We arrived to a crowded lobby to discover that two of the three elevators were not in operation, it is a thirty-two storey hotel. I am glad we were on floor eleven, we spent a lot of time climbing up and down stairs. It took four days for them to all be operational, no explanation from staff or management. When we woke up the first morning - Jan. 3, there was no hot water. I called to the desk, and the staff member who answered the phone said she would send someone up to look at it, and that she had just arrived to work, it was not her problem. I waited for twenty minutes, no help arrived. I walked down the eleven flights of stairs to be told by the same lady she had sent someone up to look, and I must have missed him. My kids and husband were still in the room, no one ever came. Please note that I was then told by another staff member the boiler for the building was out and they were having it serviced. They were nice enough to call up to the room to let us know the hot water was available later that morning. We had asked for our room to be made up each day, which they said they would do, and they did not. We stopped by the desk twice each day, and finally on day three, it was, but again, the staff at the desk were reluctant and unhelpful. I do understand most guests were probably also having the same issues, but there was zero communication from staff, and nothing from the Hilton Garden Inn to make things more pleasant. We were lucky enough that housekeeping left a cart of clean towels in the hallway on our floor, so we were able to help ourselves. We had also asked for extra pillows on four separate occasions, and they were dropped or our room 48 hours later. So, if you love climbing stairs, cold showers, and being made to feel like a liar - then this is the spot for you! If not, I suggest staying somewhere else.
