Loved our stay! Wish they had breakfast included like other Hilton Garden Inns. Very clean and friendly staff. Room had ocean view. It was great to hear the waves at night. Loved having access to the ocean from our hotel. They havea nice gym and indoor/outdoor pool.

We had a girls' weekend in Virginia Beach this past weekend. One of my friends booked one of the large oceanfront suites for us. The suite was enormous and had a great view of the ocean. It was also clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. From our balcony, I watched a gorgeous sunrise and a school of dolphins playing in the surf! The hotel is very nice for a 3-star hotel. I felt the customer service was excellent for the most part. The one exception was the valet parking. When I went to collect my car, the valet attendant couldn't find the key fob connected to my valet ticket or ANY RECORD that I'd even checked in with valet parking the prior day! Which is kind of crazy because I saw the valet write down my details—including my name and room number—when I handed over my key fob. I'm not sure where he wrote those details, but evidently, it wasn't on the check-in sheet. It's a sickening feeling when you're hundreds of miles from home and the people you entrusted with your vehicle didn't make a record of you checking in. My heart almost stopped as visions of my car being stolen flashed through my mind. Somehow, I managed to stay calm. To their credit, the valet working on checkout day and the hotel's front desk manager jumped into action right away. Thank goodness for surveillance footage and the fact that the front desk manager was outside when I checked in with valet parking. The good news is that my car was found in their garage. The bad news is that my key fob was still missing with no explanation for what happened to it. In the end, they had to bring in a locksmith to unlock my vehicle and program a new key fob. It took a couple of hours to get everything sorted. While this type of thing should have never happened, those two employees deserve kudos for the high level of customer service they provided to me in the face of a very stressful situation. I hope the hotel puts some safeguards in place to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future. As for me, I'm not sure I'll ever use valet parking again!
