Disneyland

Walt Disney created and oversaw the construction of just one theme park, Disneyland, in Anaheim, California, which first opened its doors in 1955. Walt Disney came up with the idea for Disneyland while touring other amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. There are nine themed "lands" throughout Disneyland Park, as well as some hidden backstage places. These theme lands are Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Mickey's Toontown, and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Disneyland is for sure one of the best adventure parks in the USA.

Knott's Berry Farm

Knott's Berry Farm, is a famous theme park in Buena Park, California. It receives about 4 million visitors annually on average and was the twelfth-most popular theme park in North America in 2015. There are 40 rides total, including water slides, dark rides, family rides, and roller coasters. The park's annual Knott's Scary Farm has drawn crowds since 1973. During this special ticketed event, the entire park (or significant portions of it) re-themes itself into a "haunted house" style attraction in the form of mazes and "scare zones" in the evening. Every year, the first or second weekend in March is designated as Winter Coaster Solace, a time when fans of roller coasters can arrive before the park opens and remain after it shuts to ride the rides and eat at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant.
