Travelocity Alternatives in 2027: Momondo to RatePunk

Travelocity sells flights, hotels, and rental cars in one place, but reviewers often complain about its support and refunds. Here’s why people look for an alternative, the three kinds there are, and how six of them compare.

Why Look for a Travelocity Alternative?

Travelocity is rated 1.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot (checked October 7, 2026). Trustpilot notes that Travelocity doesn’t invite its customers to review, so the rating may not be representative. The reviews give three reasons to look elsewhere:

Slow support — Reviewers describe long hold times and agents who couldn’t fix the problem.
Refunds — Reviewers often say it was hard to get money back after a cancellation.
Extra charges — Some reviewers report fees they didn’t expect.

The Three Kinds of Travelocity Alternatives

Travelocity’s alternatives come in three kinds:

Search engines — Skyscanner, Google Flights, Momondo, and Kayak don’t sell tickets: they compare prices and pass you to the seller.
Other booking sites — Kiwi.com is a booking site too, like Travelocity, and builds routes from separate tickets.
Deal alerts — Deal alert services bring the prices to you. RatePunk is one of them: once you’ve chosen a home airport, we send an alert whenever a flight from there costs less than usual.

How to Find the Best Cheap Flight Deals

Here are some expert tips to help you get the most out of any flight search platform:

Compare Multiple Sites: Use tools that let you see prices across airlines and travel agencies.
Set Price Alerts: Get notified when prices drop for your preferred routes.
Be Flexible: Adjust your travel dates or consider nearby airports for better deals.
Check for Hidden Fees: Some airlines advertise low base fares but add extra charges for bags, seats, and more.
Look for Package Deals: Sometimes booking flights and hotels together can save you even more.

Best Travelocity Alternatives Compared

The six differ in what they’re good at:

Platform	Description	Pros	Cons
RatePunk	RatePunk keeps track of what flights from your home airport usually cost, and we alert you when one drops below that price. We check about 150 million flight prices a day, and every deal has an AI Deal Score out of 100. RatePunk doesn’t sell tickets: you buy the flight from the airline or a travel site.	- You don’t have to search for deals. - Every deal is scored out of 100 by AI. - Deals appear in the app, on the web dashboard, and in deal emails. - Good for trips with open dates or an open destination.	- You pay for a membership. - You book the flight somewhere else. - Less useful if your dates and destination are set. - Alerts come for one home airport.
Skyscanner	Skyscanner is a leading travel metasearch engine that aggregates flight data from over 1,000 airlines and online travel agencies (OTAs), allowing users to compare prices across a wide range of providers. Its intuitive interface includes features like the “Everywhere” search, which shows the cheapest destinations from your departure city, and a flexible date calendar to identify the lowest fares. Skyscanner doesn’t sell tickets directly but redirects users to airlines or OTAs for booking. It’s particularly strong for international flights and budget-conscious travelers with flexible plans. The platform also offers price alerts and a mobile app for on-the-go searches.	- Excellent for flexible travelers with “Everywhere” and flexible date tools. - Searches smaller OTAs, often finding lower fares. - User-friendly interface with no booking fees. - Includes nearby airports and country-wide searches.	- Doesn’t include baggage fees in initial results. - Mediocre filters compared to competitors. - Prices may “ghost” (disappear when booking).
Google Flights	Google Flights is a powerful flight search engine that pulls data directly from airlines and major OTAs, offering a fast and clean interface. It features a map to explore global destinations, a low-price calendar for flexible dates, and a multi-city search for complex itineraries. The platform provides price tracking and alerts, showing historical price trends to help users decide when to book. While it doesn’t sell tickets, it redirects users to airline websites or OTAs. It’s ideal for users who value speed and comprehensive data but may miss some smaller OTAs.	- Fastest search results with a clean interface. - Robust features like price tracking and multi-city searches. - Shows price trends and suggests cheaper dates or airports. - No booking fees; redirects to airlines for direct booking.	- Misses some smaller OTAs and budget airlines (e.g., Southwest). - No map-based price comparison for entire regions. - Limited customer support since it’s not an OTA.
Momondo	Momondo is a flight search engine that excels at finding deals by searching hundreds of OTAs, including lesser-known ones that often offer lower prices. It provides a colorful, user-friendly interface with strong filtering options, such as sorting by fastest, cheapest, or best flights. Momondo’s “Flight Insight” feature offers data on the best time to book and fly for specific routes. Like Skyscanner, it redirects users to book elsewhere. It’s a favorite for budget travelers seeking unique itineraries, though searches can be slower.	- Searches smaller OTAs, often uncovering cheaper fares. - Detailed filters and “Flight Insight” for booking tips. - Visually appealing with a price trend calendar. - Free to use with no booking fees.	- Slower search times (30+ seconds). - Lacks multi-city or flexible date searches. - Prices may not always be available when redirected.
Kiwi.com	Kiwi.com is an OTA that specializes in creating unique itineraries by combining separate tickets, including self-transfers and “hidden city” ticketing, to offer lower prices. It provides the Kiwi.com Guarantee, which protects against unexpected schedule changes (for a fee). The platform supports multi-city searches and price lock options for up to three days. Kiwi is ideal for adventurous travelers willing to navigate complex routes for savings but may involve riskier bookings.	- Finds unique, low-cost itineraries with self-transfers. - Kiwi.com Guarantee offers protection for a fee. - Supports multi-city and complex route searches. - Price lock feature for flexible planning.	- Self-transfer itineraries can be risky (missed connections). - Hidden city ticketing may violate airline policies. - Limited customer service for complex issues.
Kayak	Kayak is a veteran metasearch engine that searches hundreds of travel sites, including airlines and OTAs, to compare flight prices. It offers robust filters, price alerts, and a “Hacker Fares” feature that combines one-way tickets from different airlines for savings. Kayak’s interface includes a price forecast tool to predict whether prices will rise or fall. It’s reliable for both domestic and international flights but may not always include the smallest OTAs.	- “Hacker Fares” for creative, cheaper itineraries. - Price forecast and alert tools. - Strong filters for customizing results. - Fast and reliable with a mobile app.	- May miss some niche OTAs. - Filters not as advanced as competitors like Momondo. - Redirected bookings can lead to price changes.

Which Travelocity Alternative Should You Use?

Pick by what matters most for this trip:

Seeing every price for one trip — Momondo searches smaller booking sites that other search engines often leave out.
Speed — Google Flights returns results the fastest.
Ideas for where to go — Skyscanner’s “Everywhere” search suggests destinations, cheapest first.
A low price without searching — RatePunk does the searching and sends an alert when a price from your home airport is below the usual one.
A complicated route — Kiwi.com builds trips from separate tickets and sells a guarantee for the connections.
