TripAir Alternatives in 2027: 15 Flight Sites by Type

TripAir is one of many online travel agencies you can use to book a flight, but it is far from your only option. You can compare fares across the web, book through another travel agency, or skip the traditional search process and have flight deals sent to you instead.

Which approach makes sense depends on how much of your trip you already have planned. A traveler with exact dates and a destination needs something very different from someone waiting for the right fare to decide where to go.

Here are 15 TripAir alternatives and what each one brings to the search.

Before You Pick an Alternative

Do not compare these platforms on price alone. First, decide what role you want the platform to play in your trip.

• Deal discovery: If the trip itself is flexible, an alert service can watch fares from your airports and give you ideas as prices drop.
• Fare comparison: If the trip is already taking shape, a search engine lets you put airlines and booking providers side by side.
• Booking: If you prefer using an online travel agency, look at the full booking experience, not just the fare shown in the initial search.
• More complicated trips: For unusual routes or combinations of airlines, some platforms offer itinerary options you may not see in a standard airline search.

Once you know which of those you need, the list gets much easier to narrow down.

Flight Deal Alerts

Deal alerts are useful when the price can help determine the trip. Instead of entering the same routes into a search engine, you choose where you can fly from and wait for worthwhile fares to appear.

1) RatePunk

Before you have a flight picked out, you have no route to enter on a booking site such as TripAir. What can a platform do for you at that stage? In place of a route, RatePunk asks for your home airport. RatePunk keeps track of what flights from your home airport usually cost, and we alert you when one drops below that price. You then book the flight yourself with the airline or a travel site, because RatePunk doesn't sell tickets.

• What you get: Our deals appear in the mobile app, on the web dashboard, and in deal emails and alerts, so you see them without running a search. Every fare gets an AI Deal Score out of 100, which looks at the airline, airports, flight times, and layovers as well as the price.
• What it costs: A RatePunk membership is paid for separately from any flight you book. The initial purchase comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. Your deal emails and alerts cover one home airport.
• Why choose it: RatePunk takes the repetitive searching out of finding a trip. When an interesting fare appears, you can decide whether it is worth booking rather than checking the same routes day after day.
• Best for: Travelers whose first question is “Where can I go for a good price?” rather than “How much is this exact flight?”

2) Going

Going finds flight deals for travelers departing from US airports and sends them directly to members.

• What you get: Flight deal alerts from selected US departure airports, with the destinations and cabin classes included depending on your membership.
• What it costs: There is a free membership, while Premium costs $49 per year and Elite costs $199 per year.
• Why choose it: The free membership gives you a way to try the deal-alert approach before deciding whether you want the wider selection included with a paid plan.
• Best for: Travelers based in the US who would rather receive promising fares than constantly search for them.

3) Dollar Flight Club

Dollar Flight Club is another subscription service built around sending cheap-flight finds to members.

• What you get: Flight deal emails from your selected departure airports, with additional airports and premium-cabin deals available depending on your plan.
• What it costs: There is a free tier, while Premium costs $69 per year and Premium Plus costs $99 per year.
• Why choose it: You can start with a basic free account or pay for broader alerts and additional fare types.
• Best for: Travelers who like getting their flight inspiration through regular deal emails.

4) Secret Flying

Secret Flying takes a more browse-first approach. Its website publishes cheap fares, flash sales, and error fares organized by region.

• What you get: A regularly updated feed of flight deals from regions around the world.
• What it costs: The main deal feed is free and supported by advertising. Some additional deal categories are reserved for members.
• Why choose it: You can browse deals without committing to a standard paid flight-alert subscription, and its coverage extends across multiple regions.
• Best for: Travelers who enjoy browsing for unexpected bargains and are flexible about exactly where they fly.

5) Airfarewatchdog

Airfarewatchdog focuses on fare monitoring, allowing you to follow airports and routes that interest you.

• What you get: Fare alerts based on selected airports and routes, with the extent of the coverage depending on your plan.
• What it costs: Economy fare monitoring is available free for the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Paid plans expand the cabin and geographic coverage.
• Why choose it: It sits somewhere between open-ended deal discovery and a traditional flight search because you can focus the alerts around routes or airports you already care about.
• Best for: Travelers who have a shortlist of places or airports they want to monitor rather than one specific trip to book today.

Flight Search Engines

Already know roughly where you are going? A flight search engine is likely to be more useful than waiting for an alert. These platforms compare fares and then direct you toward the airline or booking provider offering the flight.

6) Google Flights

Google Flights is one of the simplest places to get a quick overview of the fares available for a route.

• What you get: Flight comparisons, flexible-date calendars, price tracking, filters, and tools for exploring destinations.
• What it costs: Free.
• Why choose it: The date and price tools make it easy to see whether changing your schedule could produce a better fare before you settle on a flight.
• Best for: Travelers who know where they want to go and want a fast way to compare dates, airlines, and prices.

7) Skyscanner

Skyscanner casts a wide net across airlines and online travel agencies and presents the available booking options in one search.

• What you get: Flight comparisons from airlines and third-party booking providers, plus flexible date and destination search features.
• What it costs: Free to search.
• Why choose it: You can see airline fares alongside offers from travel agencies, giving you more places to check before deciding where to buy.
• Best for: Travelers who want a broad view of the market rather than checking airlines and travel agencies individually.

8) KAYAK

KAYAK combines traditional flight comparison with tools for travelers who have not settled every detail of the trip yet.

• What you get: Flight comparisons, price alerts, detailed filters, flexible-date searches, and destination exploration tools.
• What it costs: Free to search.
• Why choose it: Its filters are useful for narrowing a large set of results, while its Explore features can help when the destination or dates still have some flexibility.
• Best for: Travelers who like having plenty of control over how they filter and explore flight options.

9) Momondo

Momondo is part of KAYAK and provides its own interface for searching fares from airlines and travel sites.

• What you get: Flight comparisons with filters for factors such as stops, airlines, departure times, and booking providers.
• What it costs: Free to search.
• Why choose it: Its search experience gives you another way to explore the fares available across multiple providers, although you may see overlap with KAYAK.
• Best for: Travelers who prefer Momondo’s way of presenting and filtering flight results.

Online Travel Agencies

If you want something closer to the TripAir booking experience, an online travel agency may be the most direct replacement. These platforms let you search for a flight and complete the purchase through the travel company.

10) Kiwi.com

Kiwi.com stands out for the way it combines flights, particularly when a straightforward airline connection is not available.

• What you get: Flight search and booking, including self-transfer itineraries that may combine separate tickets from airlines that do not normally work together.
• What it costs: Free to search, with the final fare and applicable fees displayed as part of the booking.
• Why choose it: Its route-building tools can create additional ways of getting from A to B when conventional connections are limited, expensive, or inconvenient.
• Best for: Travelers dealing with difficult routes or willing to consider separate-ticket combinations.

11) Expedia

Expedia goes beyond flights and lets you organize several major parts of a trip through the same account.

• What you get: Flights, hotels, rental cars, vacation packages, and other travel products.
• What it costs: Free to search. Your final cost depends on the fare, booking, and any applicable fees.
• Why choose it: It is useful when finding the flight is only one item on your travel checklist and you would prefer to manage several reservations in one place.
• Best for: Travelers putting together a larger trip that includes accommodation, transportation, or other bookings.

12) Priceline

Priceline combines standard travel booking with additional discount-focused products.

• What you get: Flights alongside hotels, rental cars, cruises, vacation packages, and Priceline’s other travel products.
• What it costs: Free to search, with the final price and conditions varying by booking.
• Why choose it: It gives you another large OTA to price-check while also offering options for travelers shopping for more than airfare.
• Best for: Travelers comparing several parts of a trip and willing to consider different types of travel deals.

13) CheapOair

CheapOair provides another traditional OTA option for travelers who want to search and purchase through the same company.

• What you get: Flights alongside hotels, rental cars, vacation packages, and other travel services.
• What it costs: Free to search, although service and booking fees can apply. Check the total before completing the purchase.
• Why choose it: Adding another OTA to your comparison can help you see whether the same or similar itinerary is available through a different seller.
• Best for: Travelers who like checking several booking sites rather than relying on the first fare they find.

14) Hopper

Hopper approaches flight shopping through a mobile app and puts a strong emphasis on what prices might do next.

• What you get: Flight search and booking, price predictions, recommendations about whether to book or wait, and optional price-related features.
• What it costs: Free to search, with charges applying to bookings and certain optional products.
• Why choose it: Instead of only showing today’s price, Hopper tries to help with another common question: whether now is a good time to buy.
• Best for: Mobile-first travelers who want price guidance alongside their flight search.

15) Skiplagged

Skiplagged is the specialist option on this list. Alongside regular flights, it searches for hidden-city itineraries where your intended destination is a connection rather than the final stop on the ticket.

• What you get: Conventional flight results plus hidden-city fare options.
• What it costs: Free to search, with the final price depending on the itinerary and booking provider.
• Why choose it: It explores a type of airfare that mainstream search engines generally do not focus on.
• Best for: Experienced travelers who specifically want to investigate hidden-city fares and understand the airline restrictions and practical limitations involved.

Finding the Right TripAir Alternative

Replacing TripAir does not necessarily mean finding another site that works exactly like it. It may be a chance to choose a different way to shop for flights.

Already have the trip planned? Start with Google Flights, Skyscanner, KAYAK, or Momondo and see how the available fares compare. If you prefer completing the purchase through an online travel agency, Expedia, Priceline, Kiwi.com, CheapOair, and Hopper give you several different booking experiences to consider.

If the trip is still up for grabs, start earlier in the process. RatePunk, Going, Dollar Flight Club, Secret Flying, and Airfarewatchdog are built around finding the fare first and letting the travel plans follow.

The simplest way to narrow the list is to ask yourself one question: Am I looking for a specific flight, or am I looking for a good reason to take a trip? Your answer will point you toward the right type of platform.
